What's a cookie? We place what is commonly called a "cookie" in your computer's memory. It is a piece of data (a plain text file, in fact) that lets us know who you are when you go from one page to the next. Without that cookie, you look just like anyone else in the world as far as our computers can tell. With a cookie we recognise you on each page after you login.Return to Top
But I've heard cookies are bad!? Some companies use cookies to try to track you where-ever you go (e.g. banner networks). Unfortunately, that kind of usage has given cookies a bad name, despite the fact that cookies can be extremely useful to make your web experience fast, customised and helpful. A cookie cannot be executed on your computer or deliver a virus. We do not share our cookie information with anyone. In fact, the cookies we store on your computer are automatically deleted as soon as you exit your browser.Return to Top

How can I download a PDF resource directly to my hard drive and bypass the Acrobat Reader plug-in that normally displays the form in my web browser window?
Below is the procedure to use for Internet Explorer with Windows 95 or NT 4.0. If you are using Netscape, substitute "Save Target As..." with "Save Link As...".
When presented with the Resources link, right click on the link and use the "Save Target As.." option to download the resource. This can normally be accomplished by right clicking on the title link then selecting "Save Target As.." when presented with a menu. Use Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the bracket after downloading.
