Denver Businesses to Learn Important Corporate Coaching Techniques at BCC DENVER, Co. – September 15, 2004 – A recent Washington Post feature cited a 689 percent return on investment (ROI) from corporate coaching. The national coaching trend is also generating positive results in Colorado, as indicated by the Denver Coaching Federation’s recent survey of 200 area businesses. Results revealed that nearly half of the Denver companies surveyed are currently adopting or integrating coaching into their organization. In response to this growing demand for coaching, the Denver Coach Federation (DCF) is hosting a Business Coaching Conference (BCC). Plan to attend on Thursday, September 30th at the Hilton Denver Tech South. The keynote speaker is Nationally recognized career marketing expert and author Gordon Miller, presenting “Stop Managing Your Employees.” Miller will discuss a series of steps companies can take in order to inspire employees, improve morale, and reduce turnover. Miller has appeared live globally on CNN-TV and Denver's Wb2 News numerous times. He also has written for or been quoted in several newspapers and magazines such as The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, Rocky Mountain News, and Denver Post. Miller has been interviewed live on over 500 radio stations nationally and has a 20-year distinguished record in sales and marketing positions in Corporate America. The BCC is organized into three tracks. In the Business Track, Colorado companies will learn new tools, techniques and approaches to enhance performance by integrating coaching into their organization. The Practice Building Track will teach coaches about marketing, communications, networking, and niche creation for building a successful coaching practice. The Coaching Skills Track is designed for participants to learn basic and advanced coaching skills and techniques. “We are thrilled to introduce Colorado companies to the many benefits that coaching can provide to their employees and businesses,” said Cindy Rold, DCF President. “Not only will businesses learn useful coaching techniques, but they -morecan network with their peers to learn how coaching is being implemented in other companies.” Denver area businesses will also be exposed to various coaching resources and can network with business coaches representing a wide range of coaching services. “We’ve utilized corporate coaching since 1997,” said Director of Business Development at Holme, Roberts and Owen LLP, Jackie Sweeney Sarlo. “It gives our lawyers the opportunity to hone skills not otherwise taught in law school. In many cases, our lawyers are good at developing business, but they lack confidence in their ability to do so. Coaching helps them realize their potential.” The registration fee for the all day event is $125, which includes lunch and a networking cocktail event.
